Amanda Hession

Amanda is a provisionally registered psychologist who is passionate about providing mental health care to a diverse range of individuals. She supports people experiencing difficulties across a range of life areas and clinical presentations. She embraces a non-judgemental, collaborative, and evidence-based mental health approach, which provides clients with opportunities for personal growth and positive behavioural change in a safe and supportive environment.

Amanda has completed her undergraduate psychology degree, following a previous career as a Montessori early childhood and primary educator. Amanda has a robust academic history which is amplified by years of volunteer experience in crisis support and youth mentoring. Amanda values life-long learning and has gained a wealth of life experience as a parent of adult children and two tirelessly energetic six-year-olds.

Amanda is down-to-earth and relatable especially in the areas of crises in parenting, marital and defacto relationships as well as child and adolescent experiences of family distress. Amanda provides affordable counselling services to children, adolescents, and adults. Her services do not require a mental health care plan from a general practitioner.
