Hilal Bozkurt
Hilal Bozkurt is a Registered Psychologist with a warm and compassionate approach. She is passionate about improving the mental health and well being of her clients. She ensures that her clients are welcomed in a safe and non judgemental space, allowing them to explore their difficult life challenges and emotions, empowering them to reach their optimal and highest state of self regulation, functioning and an overall improved quality of life.
Hilal has experience working in private practice with individuals of all ages across the lifespan with different developmental stages and a variety of presentations. She has interest in working with families and the youth following her rich experience working with families and their children collaboratively during her previous role as a school counsellor.
Furthermore, Hilal also has experience working with clients with disabilities that are eligible to benefit from the NDIS scheme. She has attained extensive experience working with NDIS service providers and has a good understanding of the unique needs of clients who suffer from disabilities.
Hilal has a warm, client-centred and compassionate approach to therapy, who is solution focused. She has a well established intervention repertoire ranging from from Cognitive Behaviour Therapeutic (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), Exposure Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Mindfullness training.
Hilal strives to create a meaningful therapy experience for all her clients within a safe space, with honesty, integrity and compassion, which are the guiding principles of her practice.
Hilal is bilingual and speaks English and Turkish
