Joanne (Jo) is a Registered Clinical Counsellor who is compassionate and playful. She aims to create a safe enough space for clients to be vulnerable with themselves, express their emotions and address any challenge. Jo really believes that each person already has the resources within themselves to overcome adversity, and takes a person-centred, strengths-based recovery approach to her practice.
Jo has worked for several years across the mental health sector, including in schools supporting children and young people, working with refugees and asylum seekers, and supporting victim-survivors of domestic and family violence and sexual assault. Jo also has experience working with clients on the NDIS for psychosocial disability. Jo is passionate about holistic mental health care, especially for people impacted by trauma, and she is committed to providing culturally safe and inclusive therapies to clients from all backgrounds.
