Daniel Huang

Meet Daniel, a kind and thoughtful Student Counsellor who strives to create a safe and non-judgmental space for his clients to better face their challenges and understand themselves. He has varied experiences in the mental health space: working with a diverse range of clients at Dune Health & Wellbeing, volunteering for a national crisis hotline, and conducting research on counselling culturally diverse clients. Daniel primarily draws upon a person-centered approach which builds upon clients’ autonomy and existing resources. He also draws upon other approaches such as psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioral approaches when they are helpful to clients. Daniel offers a collaborative and individualized partnership for clients of all backgrounds.
