Clinical Suicide Prevention Services (CSPS)
The Clinical Suicide Prevention Service is a free service providing therapy and support for individuals experiencing suicidal thoughts or those who have previously attempted suicide.
The service is designed for individuals aged 12 and older who have experienced a suicide attempt or who are struggling with ongoing suicidal thoughts but are not in immediate danger. Individuals aged 12 to 15 must seek consent from a guardian before services can be provided.
Combined with the standard You in Mind Program, this collaboration offers up to 22 free sessions within a calendar year, maximising access to comprehensive mental health support.
How to access this service?
Complete the CSPS Referral form with a General Practitioner
Attain a valid Mental Health Care plan
Request DHW as the preferred practitioner.
Ensure that your forms are submitted to One Door by following the instructions on the above forms.
Call DHW to set up your first appointment while we waiting for your CSPS referral to come through to us.
Attend your first appointment and start your road to holistic wellbeing.
Once the referred, you can expect communications from us within 24 hours during the business day to schedule in an urgent appointment within 3 business days of recieving the referral
How does the program work?
The program offers short-term psychological interventions customized to your unique needs, helping you feel safer and more empowered. Working with your clinician, you will identify steps to enhance your well-being and develop strategies to manage future challenges.
You will be able to access 10 Free Therapy sessions which must be scheduled within 8 weeks to ensure your safety and concerns are met within an immediate and appropriate manner.
