!! You In Min Dialectical Behaviour Therapy Groups in September at DHW !!
Meet Daniel is a student counsellor and psychotherapist, providing psychotherapy for children and adults. He aims to be a kind & thoughtful professional who creates a safe, non-judgmental space for clients. He is also passionate about working with Asian Australians and others from culturally diverse backgrounds.
Daniel uses an integrative approach that suits each individual client. He works from a person-centered foundation that focuses on listening to and following the client’s innate directions. And he also draws upon other approaches like psychodynamic (examining the past and relationships) and cognitive-behavioral (working with one’s thoughts and behaviors) approaches as they are helpful.
Following a Bachelor’s at Johns Hopkins University and a brief corporate career, Daniel received his Master’s in Psychotherapy and Counselling at Western Sydney University. His graduate training culminated with his placement at Dune Health, a private clinic in Western Sydney.
Daniel has previously supported Australians in crisis with Lifeline. And he has additionally conducted research on working with culturally diverse populations in Australia with leaders in the field.
Daniel is a student member with the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia.
