Natasha Hussein

Natasha is a generally Registered Psychologist who is friendly and warm, and dedicated to support clients with achieving positive mental health well-being and improved daily functioning. She would like to create a non-judgmental space that allows for understanding, empathy and compassion for clients to feel comfortable and safe. She aspires to help clients through difficult and emotional challenges that may be impacting their daily life and support them by providing strategies and techniques that will aid in managing their symptoms and concerns. 

Natasha has over 6.5 years of experience working alongside children, young adults and families whose primary focus is on early intervention in both private practice and non-for-profit organisations. She supports her clients by building rapport, working towards their goals and providing them with a positive help seeking experience. Natasha has aided in supporting clients from diverse cultural backgrounds by creating a space that strives for regulating emotions, behavioural management and navigating individual experiences. She has worked with psychiatrists, general practitioners, drug and alcohol counsellors, social workers and other psychologists by facilitating case conferences to discuss client concerns and how to best manage presenting symptoms to ensure that there is a multidisciplinary approach towards the client’s recovery. 

Natasha has a person-cantered approached that aims to build/strengthen skills and manage symptoms by incorporating various evidence-based interventions. These include: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Family Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Mindfulness. She has had experience with facilitating groups, family therapy and individual therapy in face-to-face settings and telehealth. Natasha works with each individual to improve their ability to express themselves freely and encourage conversations centred around exploring one’s sense of self and improving overall well-being.
