Meet Claire, a caring and friendly provisional psychologist with a passion for wellbeing and mental health. She works from a client-centred, neurodiversity affirming and trauma-informed perspective, placing a high value on client lived experience and resilience in the face of adversity. She aims to work alongside clients to empower them on the journey towards personally meaningful therapy goals. Claire holds a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) and is undertaking a Doctor of Philosophy (Clinical Psychology) at the University of Wollongong. She has a background in providing compassionate at-home and in-centre care for children with autism spectrum disorder, developmental delay or other behavioural challenges. Claire also has experience providing group and individual therapy, parent coaching and family-inclusive support and has worked across child, youth and adult clinical settings. Claire enjoys working with clients from culturally and religiously diverse backgrounds and it is important to her that people of all backgrounds are able to receive professional, ethical and compassionate support. Claire is also a Christian, and is able to offer evidence-based mental health care that is faith informed for clients who wish to see a psychologist with a shared faith and worldview.
